Russell Wilson is expecting to be cut by the Denver Broncos in March, per league sources. For almost two months, the quarterback has been starting knowing the organization was most likely going to move on him from after this season.

So he'll be a backup somewhere right?
I mean, will any team be willing to sign him as a starter? CAR, NYG, NE, PIT, ????

good question Tanko. I mean WIlson has not played well overall for 2 seasons. Better this year than last but you wonder if he got paid and lost some motivation. Who Knows? But he is not the same QB that led SEA to 2 SB's

There are basically 2 upcoming choices for the Broncos regarding Wilson:
1) Pay him $39M to go away and not play.
2) Pay him $76M for the next 2 seasons.

It comes down to whether 2 seasons of Wilson is worth more than the $37M difference. If another team thinks 2 seasons of Wilson is worth more than $37M and worth more than the Broncos are willing to pay Wilson they could trade for him. The trading team would pick up what they're prepared to pay, the Broncos would pay the rest, and there would likely be a swap of future 7th round picks.

Personally i'd pass on acquiring Wilson for 2 years at $37M+.
