I remember back in the day there were some pretty crazy upsets Round One.

8th Seed Denver over top-seed Seattle mid-90s Comes to mind. I think those were best-of-5.

Much less likely in a best-of-7.

Loved that Shawn Kemp/Payton Super Sonics team. Wanted them to kick the Bulls ass of course wouldn't have happened but wishful thinking like with the Trail blazers, Jazz, and Suns.

Loved that Shawn Kemp/Payton Super Sonics team. Wanted them to kick the Bulls ass of course wouldn't have happened but wishful thinking like with the Trail blazers, Jazz, and Suns.

I really enjoyed watching the Kemp/Payton/Sam Perkins Sonics too. Thought they had a great chance to win it all in 94 and 95 when Jordan was playing baseball but they never could get out of the west.

In fact, the Sonics matched up great (Kenny Smith admits this as well) against the Rockets who won it all in both 94 and 95 but the way the seedings/upsets played out the Rockets were able to avoid playing the Sonics both seasons.

Loved the NBA back then!

This is the truth. I was pretty heavy on the Hawks last night. Was totally into Young’s big second half and the Hawks comeback.

wouldn’t have watched it for 30 seconds if I didn’t have action on it.

1994 championship game seven was the biggest screw up by whatever tv network that carried that game. They preempted the game to show the O.J. Slow speed chase the idiots. Every channel was carrying it why not show the damn game again idiots. We were playing poker and the best we could get was the Cubs on WGN and they had split screen. What a fucking novel idea. Again idiots

I always watch the playoffs but regular season... meh.

My son in-law is a huge NBA fan so I try to stay up on it to be able to talk to him about "his Spurs".
