Nice dream. I'm going to go out on a limb and say I doubt there is anyone on BMR who makes plays large enough to influence the lines. Not only would they have to be betting LARGE but they would have to be recognized by the books as a market setting capper.



The lines I move are a little different.

With the KVB's knowledge he can move the line but he flies under the radar. We haven't seen line movement from posters since Against All Odds and Tsoprano hit the Reds for 65k.

I see we’ve jumped from moving lines to manipulating lines.

Let’s just not go there. One thing is for sure, I’ve never posted a line or a play with the hopes that people would buy it so that I could buy the other side for a better deal.

We joke about it, but I’ve never done it with that intent. I have posted a play and eventually bought the other side of the dog as well on the move but I doubt any forum activity caused that.

I wouldn’t do that to my Forum family and brothers and sisters.

But make no mistake, many current lines at any given time, any snapshot of the market moment, can be the direct result of market manipulation.

In could talk a bit about this actually, and it could tie into the thread about the Buf/KC and where current market sharps might be looking and where they are not buying.

In fact, how do you know that the market prices when I worked out the no vig line on Buf/KC weren’t the result of manipulation?

Making winning bets can often be the easy part.

It's all the other shit that gets in the way that can kill the bettor.
