The pick 6 was a 14 point turn around, they were inside the 15 maybe closer. They out played OSU for most of the game.
How is that a 14 point turnaround? Rutgers hadn’t got in the end zone all day, but it’s a given they were gonna score there?

Also the notion that we should just discount a great defensive play/poor play by Rutgers

Rutgers got a lot of breaks this game that allowed them to run the ball well. Ohio State played crappy for a half.

But Ohio State won comfortably because they’re fucking OHIO STATE

People can’t just admit when they lost lol

Even if you concede a 14 point turn around or they still win by 5 or 10 points they still win by 9. Very good teams find a way to win that's why they are good teams. When a team is a 18.5 point dog it usually takes some breaks for them to have a chance. Other wise they would not be 18.5 point dogs

They got plenty of breaks

Their only touchdown was not clearly a touchdown — probably an interception by the rule book

Didn’t complete the catch through the ground

They also threw an imaginary holding penalty on OSU in case they couldn’t call a touchdown there

I don’t make excuses ever for my losses. So please do not group me into this type of gambler. We disagree on if this was a bad beat loss for Rutgers ATS.

I agree.

We knew it would take a special set of circumstances for Rutgers to even cover the spread, let alone win, and that basically happened, right to the number.

A loss by the hook is a loss and that’s that.

I’d bet them again if the same situation came up. I’m a glutton for punishment…lol

Not grouping you, you've been straightforward about your wins and losses

But in no way is that a bad beat if you watched the whole game .

Just hate when people say shit like "14-point turnaround" or "lucky play"

That's all excuses

Some advice though in general (for anyone reading this)

At this juncture in the season, don't think it's worth it to take less than 20 points on an unranked team against the national juggernauts (OSU, Michigan, Georgia) regardless of location

Two burns last two weeks with Georgia and now Ohio State.

Not worth it IMO, not enough points.

Margin for error is too high for those kinds of teams

Fair assessment.

I didn't give one fukk about that game, either way. Normally when there is a pick 6 in the red zone that's what most would say. OSU won by 19 that's all that matters all else is just talk.
When OSU can win 6 titles in 11 years like the Tide we will talk.

Meh I guess I could say that about any play though

But you're right it's all talk

Jerky, not that it's gonna feel any better. I will say that Rutgers has jammed me up as often as any Coll FB teams over the years.

Going way back, many years ago, Rutgers was +25 dog going to Syracuse. Syracuse had good teams. I just thought the line was too fat.

Rutgers was TIED 14-14 going into the 4th qtr. Not that I think they're going to win, but the cover looks to be comfortable. You know the routine:

*Syracuse gets the TD to take the lead. The 2nd TD, 28-14.
*Still a working margin. The 3rd TD comes with 2:00 to go. 35-14.
*OK, just go final. No, it's Rutgers. Pick-6 in the final minute, lose by 28.

I can think of ANOTHER Rutgers classic. And this one re-surfaced on video.

*Rutgers is a fat dog at Penn St. +18, I think.

Rutgers is HANGING all day. Within two scores. Now very late:
*The Backup QB comes in. None other than the now-famous Mike McQueary.

Paterno was known to run games out. He didn't want to embarrass fellow coaches. Joe was content with a 14-pt win.

Last 2:00, McQueary is running it into the line. He spots a busted coverage and goes deep. TD to jam up the +18.

Joe Paterno shakes his head. That's not the play call he wanted.

This game is famous for the post-game exchange:
*Rut HC Graber knows his alums lost the cover. He says to Paterno "I didn't think you were like that, Joe."
*Paterno spouts off "Ah, bullshit."

Where was the targeting call on the biggest play of the game....the interception.Worst call of the game.Clear head hunt on Monangai
Not even close to targeting dude lol

The trash Rutgers QB tried to injure the Buckeye QB on the return though

That trash probably shouldn’t throw a little pop up no where near his receiver and into double coverage. Shouldn’t have been deflected, just a clean interception

Middle school level throw there

I don't really like posting plays and not tracking so I'll at least go over what I did post.

Here's my opinion on some of those games based on Forecasts and Fund triggers...

1. Disagree, I have K State moneyline from early trading in the UPSET Basket.
2. Agree with Jax St, I have them winning outright in the Forecasts
3. No opinion, I have Oklahoma winning by about 10
4. Disagree, I have Illinois spread and ml from early trading in the Visiting Dog Fund and UPSET Basket.
5. Kansas triggered in the UPSET basket at +125.
6. Agree with Rutgers, I have them only losing by about 10, spread is high and who knows, this could be an upset.
7. Disagree, I've had Boise St on the moneyline since the open in the UPSET Basket.

Jax St, Illinois and Rutgers left me 2-1 on spread bets, that's a profit. Rutgers wasn't a total loss, but my analysis was comparing to Jerky, so it's a full loss at our line.

Illinois (+115) and Kansas (+125) paid as Upsets, but K State and Boise St make it 2-2 in the UPSET Basket plays. That's a small grind to a profit too.

I had a lot of volume today, it just eeked out profit like this sample and the NCAA thread. Tough grinding for my office for nearly 18 hours, some of it done outside my office.

Long day.
