For as competitive of a game it was thought it was played poorly. Too bad the 90's Bills teams didn't get a shot against one of those teams.
Very sloppy game many mistakes, hard to believe this was the two best teams the NFL had to show case! Not a good year play wise for the league. Plus they played in a dome. Unbelievable, but the main thing is the team I backed won.

Couldn't agree with you more hate when a Superbowl is in a dome. Unfortunately the NFL is all about profit and publicity it seems they no longer even try to improve the actual product.

I love the people saying this was a great game. A close score doesnt make it a great game. There were more mistakes in the game than maybe all the other playoff games combined; numerous false starts, fumbles and more fumbles, dropped passes, a punt that hits a guys foot, missed xp and about 38 punts in the first half lol

Miserable for guys betting over player props. Books would have absolutely cleaned up but some overs saved by o.t.

And books fell within all teaser outcomes for game and total. Love it when books lose

I had over 47.5 Ha. Ha. Amazing how that works sometimes. But had KC so it worked out X2. Would have been nice to hit both. Would not have been close if not for OT!

Purdy did take SF down the field for the game winning FG

Itā€™s on the 49ers defense for not stopping KC
This game was not on Purdy imo. In fact I think he played a good game overall. Took care of the ball and did a good job of getting it to his playmakers. I keep going back to CMC's fumble and the muffed punt plus missed extra point as huge reasons why they lost. I felt they were going to score at least 3 on the opening possession and possibly even a touchdown with the way they were shredding KC's defense on that drive but CMC's untimely fumble killed the drive. That muffed punt completely changed the game and gave KC hope because up until that point SF's defense was dominating. That missed XP just can't happen against any team let alone a Mahomes led team. Then you throw in Shanahan's poor decision to get away from CMC in the third quarter and the Niners not taking advantage of KC's mistakes got them beat in the end.

Purdy isn't good. He was pretty bad every playoff game. He's the weak spot on a massively loaded team
He can sling it as 15 point fav over Arizona and that's it
I disagree with this take. Purdy played well yesterday imo he wasn't perfect but I thought he wasn't the reason the Niners lost. Ask anybody who knows and he was shredding KC in that first half then Shanahan inexpicably went away from CMC which didn't help the Niners offense in the sec "isn't good."

I've said it in several threads, very sloppy game. Many mistakes hard to play mistake free but this game was poorly played on both sides of the ball. One point l have not seen made much of is how, in the first half 49ers pushed KC around on the line. That changed in the 2nd half, especially late 4th qt and over time.

I'm saying he isn't a top 10 qb. Imagine he was on the jets, nothing never see a probowl. I saw a lot of feeble 3rd downs from him. 3 for 12 with a lot of no chance chucks

Not saying at all he was the reason why they lost but certainly not the type to win that game

I think he is good enough to lead the Niners to a Super Bowl win. Spagnuolo came away very impressed with Purdy because he was shredding them in the first half. The problem was that the Niners got away from the running game in the second half and put him in unfavorable third and longs most of the second half. The offensive line didn't play great in that game so I think its more an indictment of them than it is him. The Niners have to improve their offensive line imo because Purdy is fine when you give him time to throw. The Chiefs got to him in the second half because the line didn't do their job very well and Shanahan went away from a balanced approach which was totally winning in the first half when the Niners pretty much outplayed the Chiefs defense.

Yeah a good QB schreads them on 1st and 10 when runs are expected. He's just not very good and gets his passes batted way more than average. Last draft pick on a legendary team will always appear good
