This is such a non-issue. Only the crybabies in Philly are complaining about the Miz being selected. Complete nonsense that one argument is that he doesn't have enough experience. The all-star selection is based on the season so far and not other seasons. One Philly pitcher said he wants to rest and the other one is scheduled to pitch today so won't be available. Of couse they are not going to be picked. But oh wait, Philly wants a participation trophy or "selection" trophy for their pitchers... pure nonsense.

My only problem with Miz is he's only played in 5 games.
Pretty low number to justify All-Star spot.

He does throw hard though. I mean really hard. So, it is entertaining for the fans.

It’s not like there are other glaring omissions who stayed home while he went.

The game is for the fans - and he’s this years version of Skenes. Let him go and just enjoy it - might be 8-8 next year and never come close again.

There should be a spot reserved for top rookie in each league every year or winner of their respective leagues future stars game MVP the following year.

He did a nice job. If they would have let him pitch for both 8th and 9th, there wouldn’t have been the “swing off.”

He threw 100+ on several pitches. I think he hit 100+ on a curveball!

Brewers coach is an idiot. Miz had 7Ks for 3.2 innings but because a batted ball smack Miz in the ass, the coach takes him out!? Ofc Brewers then lose 1-0.
