Like so many sports has been on a serious decline with only a few faithful left.

Similar trajectory to greyhound racing.

Just look at the crowds when it was at its peak - compared to what it draws now. It’s sad - but those are the breaks. At one point indoor cycling was super popular too - now it’s non-existent.

Today’s crowd doesn’t watch sports and doesn’t spend money on them.

Both jai alai and greyhound racing declined in New England states after the casinos in Connecticut were around and grew. Horse racing lasted a while but spiraled away also - now just harness tracks left.

I think jai alai could last somewhere with the right marketing, partnerships, etc. Maybe it’s something Dana White could get involved with? I supposed Vegas could try to showcase it in slower months and see how it goes.
