It’s a very prestigious job

Prestigious to who and in what way? In the social pecking order - mod of a forum is a hair below “self proclaimed social media influencer”. Ever hear any stories of people pretending to be a mod at a gambling forum to impress women on dating sites vs say a doctor/airline pilot or other high paying role ?

I’d rather be a guard at county lockup than a mod - at least you get a chance to smack the inmates upside the head when they get out of line. What’s the best a mod can do - ban and then keep chasing off their ghost ?

I think it depends on the person.

Someone with an inflated ego definitely has the potential to get out of control and turn into a maniac.

Being a mod has really changed @BobbyFK , I prefer Bobby as a scary debt collector that puts fear into posters. I liked the toughness in Bobby back in the day. He was a force and made posters squirm when they were late paying Tsoprano. Now, he is a gentle giant that wouldn't hurt a fly. I miss the old Bobby, the mod position changed him.

We loved playing with posters careers
"love"

"Woman" is used when referring to a single female, while "women" is used when referring to multiple females; for example, "The woman at the front desk helped me" (singular), and "Several women attended the conference" (plural).

when I was a moderator, I love the power and I did think I was better a higher status
Moderators are here to help maintain a positive and respectful community, not to feel superior. It's about doing the job fairly and keeping things running smoothly. Everyone, whether a poster or a moderator, should be treated with respect. Power comes with responsibility, not status, IMO.

“Post of the day”. (Even though I may not follow these guidelines all the time, when I don’t there’s a method to my madness, so never forget that ! That goes out to any mod or poster. :bigboss:
