My mom’s sister went to high school with him in the early 70s.

He was wild back then. Always been a heavy drinker but this is a rough diagnosis.

Some of these guys would struggled with that right out of college. If it weren’t for football - they wouldn’t have stepped foot on a college campus.

Still - tough news to hear especially for some of these guys who played in an era where safety/CTE wasn’t taken seriously. It was a man’s game and guys were made to feel inferior not being able to play though injuries.

Honestly I’m surprised Aikman can still put a simple sentence together (some guys that don’t like his announcing would argue he can’t but being serious on this one)

I watched every game of his career and he took some vicious hits toward the end of his career that led to multiple concussions.

I thought at the time he’d be a vegetable in 10-15 years.

My buddy just hung w him, he's a local at hometown bars, still drinking beer, shooting the shit.

Dementia is type 3 diabetes, but his decline started years ago.

Guy always there to shake hands, photo ops and rip on the dirty Packers.
