Supertyphoon Yagi storm centre is nearing the Hainan gap. This massive cyclone has changed course a little more westward. 240 km/hour winds. Moving slowly NW at 15 km/hour.

Current projection shows it making landfall near Halong/Haiphong on Saturday morning. However, outer bands will be upon us very soon, tonight.

VN government is mobilising disaster response units.
