Rory needs to get it going. Bad par on easy par-5 3rd after a poor drive didn’t help.

Seems to be knocking it in the 15-25 foot range every hole for birdie and hasn’t made one yet. Needs to knock a couple inside 10-feet

When Daly did it at the British Open maybe was the best. Just walked off the course after if I remember

Brutal 9th hole for Rory.

Had had a monster drive on 9 to have 115 yards to the hole, and best he could get it to was 25 feet. Then three-putts.

This tourney has been his for the taking, but he’s been off from 125 yards and in today.

He has to get something going on the back 9. At least minus two and hopefully minus 3 or 4. Preferably gets to minimum of 10 under headed to Sunday

And just like that Rory makes a birdie he had to have on the par-5 10th hole.

After short siding himself with his second in the bunker, makes a nice 12-footer for bird, setting himself up hopefully for the strong back 9 we need.

Still, 4 back of Lowry. Rory can’t continue to let Lowry to stretch the lead over him,

Way too many irons today from Rory in the 115-125 yard range he’s knocking to 25 feet.

Guys further back in the fairway hitting it quite a bit closer.

If Rory doesn’t get better distance control from his irons he’s going to continue to struggle to score.

And just as I post this, literally 15 seconds afterward, Rory drains a 25-footer for birdie on 12 to get within 3 shots of Lowry.
