I've heard this about Manilla. Wife works with a group of people from Philippines and they say its not a safe city. @BMR Genie is this true? I thought you were originally from Philippines? I might be mistaken.

Manila is just like other cities, there are safe and unsafe places, you can find high-end places and there are also slum areas. Just be mindful of your surroundings, don't walk at night alone, you know basic safety rules if we are visiting other places. It's the capital so everyone is busy, and traffic, is more expensive compared to provinces.

Just be mindful of your surroundings, don't walk at night alone, you know basic safety rules if we are visiting other places.
