When it comes to Europe, the continent has a huge history both with gambling but also with sports. Some of the first casinos around the world were built here, the first one coming from Italy in the 17th century, and then followed by others in France. Games like roulette and baccarat are originally from Italy and France as well.

Sports have always been loved by Europeans as well, the English being the first to invent, in the 19th century the nowadays so popular game known under the name of football or soccer, depending on your region of origin.

Since both of these industries are related in one way or another to entertainment, they crossed paths a couple of times in the past, contributing greatly to the mainstream spread of a popular gambling niche, sports betting. [h=2]Sports Betting[/h]
Sports betting was ongoing for a while since both in Europe but also in the USA, racehorse betting was a popular activity amongst the people that were watching the races. Somewhere in the 19th century, professional bookmakers started coming to England, around the same time that football was getting popular, and it wasn’t long until a new sports betting niche was born.

Even if casino gambling was a legalized activity in some parts of the USA in the 20th-century sports betting was prohibited until 1949.

While sports betting was completely illegal in the USA, on the other side of the ocean, in Europe this activity was becoming more popular every day. Football is the sport that managed to make sports betting a highly popular activity amongst the people.
After the birth of the internet, gambling, in general, started to become more accessible to people, contributing greatly to the widespread adoption of sports betting. Software development and the construction of more powerful computers allowed bookmakers to use a digital centralized database to make the bets, instead of using paper.

That, combined with the online gambling houses that included sports betting allowed this gambling niche to become so popular nowadays in Europe, with countries such as England being the most involved. Now, people can bet not only on football and horses but, also on dog racing, tennis, and any other sport.

I, as a person who was born in a family consisting of an American father and a French mother, will say that this is so. I often went to France with my mother to visit relatives and there is a casino at every step and people are constantly arguing for money who will win the match. They constantly argue who is stronger than Barcelona or Real Madrid, Manchester United or Liverpool. Almost everyone puts bets there, it surprised me a lot at first, but then I got used to it. Here in the USA, it's enough for people to play poker sometimes and that's it. Personally, I chose a poker platform and I don't need any more. I've never bet on sports, much less gone to a real casino. Although I am half European, but my soul is American. I wish you all good luck!

To be honest, I also like more poker than betting on sports because I am not really into sports. I am began to play poker when I was 20 years old. I was used to real casinos, but due to pandemic I needed to switch online. It was difficult till I found a reliable site where I could withdraw the money quickly. I got fooled many times, lost some money, but I don't regret this as I was expecting this. This is the site https://kamikajino.com/ where I spend my days and nights, I recommend it with big confidence.

Then what are you doing in this thread if you don't like sports betting?

From what I know, gamblers are a common thing for the UK. In the previous three months, 46 percent of the population gambled, according to some surveys. When it comes to value and investment, this market is regarded as one of the most powerful. I have a lot of friends in England and all of them are, to one extent or another, gamblers. I’m kinda in that camp as well. We love to make bets once every while on whenever a hype soccer match is on the horizon.

Yes, it really seems to me that this is already becoming a part of European culture. In America, sports betting is certainly not that widespread and popular. But you know, I love to bet on sports! It can bring adrenaline into your life. And watching a match that can bring you money is much more interesting. I am using the JBO platform. Last time I bet on Juventus to win against Roma. By the end of the match, Juventus was 3-1 down and scored 3 goals in just 10 minutes! I was incredibly happy and was able to win a large sum. Good luck to everyone!

I remember I was in Amsterdam airport in 2018 during World Cup finals. All the passengers waiting for their flights were watching the game and the busy hallway just totally went clean. You will hear all the cheers from different stations every time their team made a goal.
