I remember this band back in the grunge era. Wasn’t familiar with this song at all. After listening to it, this song gives off a Janis Joplin sound and vibe IMO.

Apparently died of an OD at 28 years young. This is his daughter, Nico… Simply amazing and beautiful! Blind Melon will always be one of my favorite bands!

They definitely weren’t grunge. Joplin is a good comparison. Sound is more southern blues

I saw soundgarden live open for GnR in Houston on the Use Your Illusion tour at the very beginning of the Grunge boom.

Good point, although a debatable topic. My top 3 Grunge bands were, Nirvana, STP, & Green Day. They were the epitome of Grunge unlike Blind Melon.
