It is a hidden gem, keep in mind it has only been open to the world since 1987. You can't have an intelligent conversation with older Vietnamese that escaped Vietnam due to the war because their reality of Vietnam is not what it is today. 99% of them have never been back and they think of Vietnam in a way which is in the past. The way of life, the new infrastructure, how businesses are run, the way of life is lightyears beyond America . Many Vietnamese came back here once they realized. This girl is awesome, she has so many great videos on life in Vietnam.

You see where I live , people kind of look at people from the south in a different way. In America most Viet you meet are from the South, where I am from the Hanoi people stayed here. Like I said it is a different country now. But there are some people here that don't like the north and some people don't like the south. I am pretty rare because I don't like the south at all, but most foreigners like the south. I go there to visit, Saigon is cool but i would never live there. I am a true Hanoin!

You can live here for $150 a month or $7,000 a month rent. I will give you an example. Here is where I live. I have a two bedroom apartment, 41st top floor, two swimming pools, gym, starbucks in the building, 100s of cafes, shops and restaurants in walking distance. There are 1000s of buildings like this in my city. This is my apartment building

I will be posting some war stuff my in my thread , I was actually climbing on a tank and a got in an airplane today from the war. We have museums all over here, You can touch everything and mess around with the stuff, it is crazy

depends the quality and your lifestyle. I know a guy here from Florida who lives for free. He lives with a family here and he talks to their kids in English a few hours a day and lives for free. I would never do something like that but to each their own.
