So I shouldn't buy that Pete Rose throwback or the "Mean Machine" #22 I always wanted?? We are talking the original "The longest Yard" not the remake. What a fvcking movie that original was. One of my favorite football movies growing up

I have no issue w Rose gambling, nor do I with the sexual stuff that came about. That was at the height of the sexual revolution/ feminist movement.

It'd be like boycotting Jerry Lee Lewis or Ty Cobb. Men are a product of their times, to judge them thru a basis of one's own era is misguided.

It's why I can never agree with or sympathize with the movement to remove or rename historical figures, plaques, states or places. Once you lose perspective of history, you're bound to repeat it.
