Archie, there is a reason for everything Italians do.

It's why we produced the single greatest culture in all of history.

The french are a particular sticking point for us.

Because they stoled much of what today is considered French from us and then tried to claim it as their own, when in fact, it's really ours.

Between 1796 and 1815, Napoleon systematically looted hundreds and hundreds of priceless masterpieces from Italy in an effort to establish Paris as the cultural capital of the world.

Lots of friction between us, but, if it ever comes down to it, we'll have their backs.

Archie, another thing in regards to the french.

In addition to what I said earlier, there's this also...

When the Romans first set foot into Gaul (ancient France) they found a barbaric race of people.

They reported that the people there wore face paint and ate raw food like animals.

The Romans settled them (conquered them) and brought them civilization.

The Romans were the first to plant vineyards in france and taught them how to make wine.

They gave them laws, built roads and acqueducts, and taught them their language.

But the Romans did this for all of Europe not just them.

And all we ever got from them was hatred.

Today, if you ask an average person where does the Ballet come from?

Most likely you'll hear the average ignorant say france or Russia when in fact it was invented in Italy.

There are hundreds of examples like this.

It just dawned on me that was the summer my son was born. My Miami heat took home the NBA Finals that year. D.Wade was a beast closest thing to Michael Jordan I've ever seen in a NBA Finals series.
Definitely a special year, bro.

For all the right reasons, too.
