At first glance +5 for the Knicks seems like an easy play but I think they'll likely come out a little rusty. I lean towards taking the Spurs because they're more battle tested and they've been playing while the Knicks have been waiting. I know it's counter intutitive because you would think the rest will help the Knicks but I actually think it'll be the opposite in game 1 and the Spurs will ride the momentum. Granted I won't make my play until closer to tipoff but I like the Spurs to win this series and game 1 because I think their size will be too much for New York.

Knicks beat the Spurs for the NBA cup, now they're playing for the Trophy.

Including the Cup win, Knicks were 2-1 against the Spurs during the season.

Going to be tough to knock SA off in a series though.

When was the last time a Dog on the series price won the Finals? Raptors 2019?

Also, I know I did this YEARS ago, like 6-7, I went back and looked at faves ATS game 1 of the finals since the turn of the century, it is very strong. Last time I remember a dog covering game 1 was Boston in 2022, pretty sure that was a first in a while at the time. I will have to look it up but I wanna say last 20 finals maybe 6 dogs covered game 1?

THat is how you know AI isn;t worth a shit right now, I should be able to ask and get an accurate response withing 10 seconds. Instead I will spend 20-25 min tomorrow doing it on my own.

My main thing is the rust. They couldn't make a layup for 3 quarters game 1 of the ECF. I don;t think the rest is an advantage for NY cuz Spurs are not only young guys, they are deep, nobody had to put a team on the back, it is just 5-6 guys with 22-24 year old energy.

I am with you, I am waiting until before tip. Plenty of time to visualize the game before Wednesday night.
