Fulleffort, the winner of the Grade 3 Jeff Ruby Steaks, will scratch from Saturday’s Kentucky Derby due to a left-hind ankle chip, allowing also-eligible Ocelli to draw in to the race, Daily Racing Form reports.



DRF’s David Grening was the first to report the scratch on Thursday morning.



Fulleffort, a son of Liam’s Map, was set to break from near the outside post in the Derby as the #20 horse, racing for owners St. Elias Stable and Starlight Racing and trainer Brad Cox. He was booked to be ridden by Tyler Gaffalione.
