Most years I don’t bet on it, but definitely like to watch it. I mean it’s only a 2 minute event I feel like it’s one of the most overrated things to attend in person. It’s more like a status thing for the wealthy just to be there with your best suit on.

yeah see your point. But it's not the only race at CD that day. about 12 races all together. So if you like betting the ponies you have plenty of opportunities. Football/horses 2 fav sports. If given the chance to attend the Super bowl or Kentucky derby day I would choose the the Derby.

im a basic horse racing bettor. I pretty much only make WIN bets. I do enjoy the grand slam

sometimes I do SHOW bets and parlay it. So take $20 to show, take the whole winnings and bet next race and pick a horse to SHOW, and keep going and see if I can work it up to $100
