We head to Talladega for Cup (3 pm Sunday) O’Reilly’s (Saturday 4 pm ET) series racing.

Huge 2.66 mile track and as @Tanko has already mentioned it’s classic super speedway drafting style racing.

A lot of cars tightly packed together that always has the potential for multiple big wrecks that take out many cars.

Very unpredictable although O’Reilly’s racer Austin Hill has mastered this style of racing with 11 wins on drafting style tracks. Hill and his RCR teammate Jesse Love will be favored Saturday.

No one is less than 10/1 in Cup. So it’s anyone’s race.

Played Bubba Sunday Cup $11 to win $199.

He’s a pretty decent drafting racer. I always want to look for the aggressive drivers who aren’t afraid to take a chance.

Will probably play Austin Hill O’Reilly’s for $60-70 and that’s it.

No reason to spend a lot this weekend. Too unpredictable.

NASCAR flipped the stage lengths for Cup Talladega.

Basically the drivers will be able to make it on fuel stage 2 to stage 3, and from stage 3 to finish line.

I like this change.... It always sucked for the fans watching guys "save fuel" and not race. I know it was a strategy to win but, it sucked for the fans.

So we should see full out throttles in stage 2 and 3. This could be interesting and might lead to more wrecks late (if more are even possible).

100 percent the reason they changed it.

I wish they got rid of stages altogether at road courses.

The guys that stay out stage 1 on road courses because they are in dire need of points have zero chance to get back through the field and win unless you’re a couple of seconds a lap or more faster than the field like SVG.
