We look down on non api traders

You should be more worried about EV and understanding what you're watching to hit it LIVE.

All the API in the world won't help you if you don't have a proven trading plan and the practice to execute it.

API, computer connection speed, etc, for this type of trading, is far less important.

Now, if you're making markets all over like I was earlier in the year, that could be different.

But we are far better off making a dashboard with the stats, structure, strategies, calculators, and trading plans than an app to execute or input orders.

That said, can you make a one click function that will set a limit order, again, with one click, and one click to change that order. Can you do that?

I could find ause for that.

understanding what you're watching

I will be honest, I don't know anyone outside of my office that has demonstrated that they actually understand what they're watching. If they do, it's not really made public...I'm the only one doing that.

Nobody at the Forum.

For context, I once asked "why would I say that?"

@DiggityDaggityDo might remember.

If one can't answer that question accurately, then they do not understand what they are watching. It doesn't matter what the bettor, fan, viewer, poster, whatever thinks they know or understand, there is an underlying reality that is sure to be different from that.

Even if they go back, get the context and everything, I'm sure there is nobody at BMR that can answer that question. That level of play is just that rare.

Likewise, over the years I've tried to teahc, but something tells me nobody understands why Sharon does what she does, even if they think they do. The reason is that they get caught up in the winners being posted but never ask themselves why they are winners.

I've mentioned alternative probabilities in the past, either you know where they come from, or you don't.

And nobody seems to.

In the cave, those shadows on the wall have everyone convinced they understand what they're watching, but they do not.

Even if they understand the parable of the cave, and know they are watching shadows, how can they then actually understand what they're watching without breaking down their entire cultural and world view. A paradigm shift so extreme they cannot accept it, and will rationalize away to ease the burden on their minds.

Some pills are just too jagged to swallow.

One thing I’ve learned is that we should keep Sharon Stone out of our mouths. 🤐

The Lab is suggesting that the LAA vs NYY game could end up in extra innings.

That's what it's suggesting.

WiIl be leaving the office with the hope of instituting the trading plan with the mobile office.

It's not as crazy and fast paced as Hoops, so I I think I can get away with it.

Oh boy, hate to leave, and it's at the worst time too. WIll be fundraising for the education foundation, and will try to be fundraising for the KVB Summer Trading Fund at the same time.

Back in the office, things have been delayed an hour.

I did not get my buy signal before the team ran. Was looking to pick up the NYY if LAA would have scored first. I do believe this game is far from over, but I am not taking LAA to come back at the Trading Desk, yet.

There are several reasons for that but one of the more obvious is the market reaction to the teams. LAA coming back to tie it or LAA taking the early lead won't move the market that much, though it would have been enough for me to get the NYY.

Now NYY will move that market when they score. So you would think that makes the best value on LAA, and it does. But the situation has changed for the Trader, Yankees scored first. The algo managed to get me off of the game. Just as well, patience is a virtue.

Again, the Lab does actually see the Angels coming back, even if very late in the game, but the Trader is very selective and he did not get his buy signal when he wanted it.

Not sure if there will be another chance to Trade the game.

If this game drags on, and starts to look like an UNDER, I may jump in on LAA, the market will be cheap as time is running out, and might even sell it after they get guys on base, just in case those guys don't come home.

We're talking some serious timing.

Let's see where we are at the 7th inning stretch.

Yes, there will be volatility in that game, including lead changes, so that should lead to more runs.

The OVER is also on the radar.

As slow as this game is going, it doesn’t need extra innings.

Definitely some volatility though, and a lot of ties, extra innings or not.

The Lab knew, the Trader is still acclimating to MLB timing. It’s not basketball that’s for sure.
