I think you already know everything regarding this process. I started eating healthy. A balanced diet, really. Also, I stayed away from soda, lots of water, and green tea.

The only thing I'm missing rn is a good exercise routine to build up my muscles.

Yup, and no fasting needed.

Fasting should be used for a mental excercise, not a weight loss excercise.

Further, not eating when you're hungry is not an excercise in discipline, not at all. It's what you are doing instead of eating that the discipline might show.

The reason one fasts matters. Weight loss is just a terrible reason to fast and might actually imply a lack of discipline in lifestyle. So little discipline that one has to just avoid food altogether because of lack of control.

Not at all.

There is more than one way to skin a cat and the power of the mind should not be negelcted.

Are you seriously trying to fast to lose weight? That's your goal?

Common man, so much more can be obtained from fasting, try that.

Not to mention, many of those things can be obtained while excercising the mind, less the fast. Try that.

Combine things, but stay mentally tough. Recognize that the victory isn't because you somehow managed to not eat for some random period of time, that's so superficial.

The victory is what you gained while fasting, that's a deeper meaning.

There are levels to this shit, focus past the food.

The food is where Bobby gets stuck, don't be a Bobby..... :lmao:

Jerky I'm just trying to push anyone fasting to get more out the fast than some tiny weight loss that will just reverse itself.

And also to not be like Bobby..... :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

Me and @JDS changed our avatars toady.

I had Rory masters big win and score from 2025 avatar all year until I switched it to Scottie masters a couple of months ago when I bet my futures. So close. Should have stuck with Rory.

I do these fasting challenges every couple of months because I know weight loss ultimately comes down to calories in versus calories out. During the weeks I fast for 36 to 72 hours, I’m not consuming nearly the equivalent of 2 pounds of fat in calories for the week compared to my normal eating on non-fasting days.

I don’t overcompensate or overeat in the days afterward. I’ve hit a weight-loss plateau and I’m trying to break into the 170s. I believe these extended fasting challenges will help me get there. Like you said there’s several ways to skin a pussy cat.

Any weight loss during the fast isn't really the type of weight loss that is sustainable.

A lot of ways to skin the cat, but things like diets, and this is a diet, are usually temporary weight loss because of why the weight was lost.

Worry less about calories in and more about calories out.

You're biking a lot, you must be in some cardio shape. Maybe you don't really need to lose weight. If you get in great shape, your body will set itself into a natural weight.

If you got visible fat cardio is the best way to go. That type of fat burns evenly throughout the body. Like belly fat, you don't do situps and core work for that, you run.

Your kind of big, solid, you look dense, if you will. That muscle can be tough to maintain.

Either way not saying give up fasting, I'm suggesting the weight part of it isn't too big, unlike like your cycling, which could be a good calorie burn each time.

That cycling is good for you, I could use that for sure.

And we know Bobby can use it too......:lmao:

I'd say don't be a Bobby, but when it comes to cycling and cardio, it makes me more like Bobby than you.

:lmao:
