This guy sucked today. Horrible calls. After Red Sox used up their 2 unsuccessful challenges there were another 5-10 pitches that would have been challenged by them.

Give it time.... Its a slow progression. In a few years, maybe a little more, umpires won't be calling balls and strikes.

We've always known that MLB umpires are the worst officials in all of professional sports & now they are being exposed even more so

But it's also MLB's fault for allowing it to go on for so long

The only sports League which allows their officials/Umpires to deliberately ignore the rules & let them all make up their own from game to game when it comes to the strike zone

JJ, you haven't watched a game have you?

It takes ~10-15 seconds or less and teams are limited to 2 incorrect challeges. If they challenge and are right, they keep the challenge. If wrong they lose it.

They should give teams more than two, probably five or six. This is going to reek havoc with the umpires on low pitches because they're the hardest ones to gauge and catchers' art of framing pitches will go extinct.

The best one I've seen was the ball was dead center of the strike zone and umpire called a ball.
The challenge was embarrassing. JFC, right down the center. I can't find the video of it but it was this week.
