In a sense, I am betting and cashing out.

It's because of the exchanges the I can do it.

Traditionally at a book it wasn't a good option because of the math I use, it's expensive. But, compared to the exchanges, simply betting at a book is expensive. Not to mention, you are stuck with the lines and/or pirces they give you, both LIVE and static.

I bought and sold those 4+ UPSETS contracts and paid 0 commission on all of it. In that other account it expired at 1.00, also zero commission.

That's a big difference for me and can really add up with volume.

Some days I have a couple of trades, but this Saturday and Sunday I made 23 trades.

So lowering that vig is a big deal for me.

But you have to be careful. With a sportbook bet, the winner pays the vig, the loser just loses his bet.

But if you go to market and just take liquidity (no limit order) then you might pay vig on a losing bet.

So fees can add up, even if they are smaller than the book.

There is nothing fundamentally wrong with wanting to get out of a bet at any time.

You have more information than you had when you made the bet, and that has to count for something.

I am just happy we can act on that info, or save some cash, or ensure a winning day or week, or whatever the case may be.

One of my biggest gripes over the years, on the Forums, has been that I hate to lead early. Everyone has heard me say it.

Because often my types of plays lead early, only to make it my bet to lose.

Now, we can just take the profit and run.

I only hate to lead early now when I didn't trade it pregame, lol.

Not necessarily any correlation but seems to often hold true in sports betting too

How many times have we seen a team drive down the field for a TD on their opening possession, only to struggle the rest of the game

Flutter & DraftKings stock soaring today.

Bi Partisan bill being introduced in congress to ban sports wagers on prediction markets.

😞
DraftKings just keeps winning

These jerks are the biggest hypocrites you will find

They swore up & down for years that their Fantasy product wasn’t gambling & distanced themselves from it

Then when Legalization went through, guess who came running wanting a piece of the pie by offering sports betting 🤨

Now here they are fighting against companies who are in the exact same position they were in long ago

Ruthless a$$holes

^ Don't hate the player hate the Game Wager. LOL.
Haha I know right

I guess the reason them & FanDuel bothered me so much is because for years, I followed the legalization process very closely and reported on it on the forums

Told everyone that it was going to happen one day, but nobody believed it even when the tide started to change, thanks yo New Jersey & states that joined them in the fight

Well known attorney Daniel Wallach & David Purdum who were both instrumental in keeping everyone up to date with the battle

But anyhow, before all of that, DraftKings insisted Fantasy sports differs from sports betting, arguing it’s a game of skill, research, and analysis

Ok…. And sports betting is not??

I always thought that was the dumbest excuse, but the courts were still so uneducated on sports betting & fantasy sports in general that they basically bought it

If anything, one could argue that’s it’s just the opposite, that sports betting is the one actually based on those skills, and fantasy is simply luck instead of vice versa as DraftKings claimed

They fought tooth & nail distancing themselves from sports betting, but then when it was legalized in the states, suddenly changed their tune, lol

I'm fukkin livid.

First the Big Beautiful bill raises taxes on gamblers, a minute amount of revenue, not even to help pay for tax cuts, but just becuase the guy from Idaho could, that piece of shit.

Now this.

Fukkin pissed here.

I've been telling my family that it's a matter of time before we get a letter from Kalshi investigating me for insider trading, I'm just that good.

But now I wonder if congress will fukk me before the regulators even try (and they would have failed as I'm not insider trading and they can't prove I am, because I'm not).

This is bullshit.

Show me where the people want this action, show me where the people are demanding this bill, or at least get off your asses and poay teh TSA workers.

I'm learning to hate congress and the gov't for totally different reasons than I used to hate them.

It just seems like bullshit that they allow retail stock trading and the broker dealers and firms make a shit by miseducating the trading populace to get them just to make trades, so the platforms can make money.

Yet an exchange where individuals walk up and agree on a contract WITH EACH OTHER is somehow so bad for people and their money and their habits.

Gimme a fukkin break.

Should put up contracts on kalshi that say...

"What will come first, a federal investiagtion into KVBs trading success or an outright ban of the exchanges by congress."

Congress would be in the upper 80% for the answer there.

“It’s time for Congress to step in and eliminate this backdoor which violates state consumer protections, intrudes upon tribal sovereignty, and offers no public revenue,” Schiff said.

You want money, Schiff?

Is that it?

Tax them, let them pass it on to us, my edge is big enough to absorb some, been doing that in sportsbooks for decades.

Somebody fukkin grease these fukkers pockets already to shut them the hell up.

Why is it that the gov't keeps looking for money from the traders and gamblers, like the Big Ugly Ass bill, while they give billions in tax subsidies to companies like Wal Mart and still have to spend billions in public assistance for the walmart emloyees who aren't paid enough.

And they come to the small population of gamblers for the the answer.

Common man.

I wonder if they have the votes to ban it

Bi partisan bill, I'm guessing they do.

And then send it over to the house which is slightly controlled by RINOs like Mike Johnson who are really authoritarian Christian Fundamentalists who don't believe in our constitutional rights and I think I am fukked.

Hopefully there is some spirited debate.
