This is just the start of this mess with NIL $/contracts.

First, Mensah's agent should be shot for allowing this to be a part of his NIL contract. But, since its there, I hope the school wins. A contract is a contract. Why would a judge rule its null-void?

These kids have to learn what it means to sign a contract.

Looks like the dispute is settled and Mensah is free to sign with another school.

Likely headed to Miami as advertised.

Great talent. Should be a good fit there.

What sucks most is you don't know what the settlement was....
Is Mensah paying Duke compensation? Is Miami paying Duke??????

At least Simpson will likely be a first round pick.

Ewers said the same thing last season, reportedly turning down $6-8 million in NIL for one year, to become a seventh-round Dolphins pick.

Cincinnati suing Sorsby for $1 million for breaking his contract and transferring to Texas Tech.

Apparently got a $4-6 million NIL deal from Tech.

I’m surprised the “buyout” of the former school isn’t part of the transfer portal process when athletes sign new deals when it’s applicable.

Athletes are pretty much saying “screw you” to the school they left behind, contract be damned.

If precedent gets set with the schools winning some of these lawsuits against players it might change the portal landscape.

Si, contracts exist for a reason, honor them or pay.

I don't understand how they can violate a contract with no regard.
Its nuts. You sign. You must adhere to the contract.

Cincy should get the $1M plus attorney costs for any delays and procedings.

Until one of these kids gets slammed and loses in court, they think they can do anything.

Looks like Chambliss got his 6th year

Been back and forth in the courts with this case.

NCAA trying so hard to deny him.

Looks like he’ll finally get to play and will be one of the Heisman preseason faves.
