Winter Olympics Schedule and Popular Events to Bet On (February 8-11)

Table of Contents

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics are underway and excitement is running high. Norway’s Therese Johaug took home the first gold of the games. Three days of competition have gone by and Team U.S.A. has six medals under its belt – all of them silver.

Julia Marino won the United States’ first medal on Saturday snowboarding. Marino placed second, and won a silver medal, in the snowboard slopestyle coming in after New Zealand’s Zoi Sadowski-Synnott. Madison Chock and Evan Bates won a silver medal for the team after a breathtaking, ice dance Sunday night. Team U.S.A still has a good chance to win gold in the following events (and you still have time to place your bets):

Cross Country Skiing: Men’s and women’s individual sprint

Figure skating: Men’s free skate

Snowboarding: Women’s cross and women’s halfpipe

Hockey: Men’s and women (team)

Curling: Men’s and women’s (team)

Alpine Skiing: Women’s slalom

The Games will run until Feb. 20. Below are some of the must-watch events for the next four days.

Tuesday, February 8 (Day 4):

  • Mikaela Shiffrin, competing for Team U.S.A., will race in one of her signature events: Women’s Slalom. This is Shiffrin’s chance to redeem herself after a disappointing run that resulted in an early disqualification.
  • When: 9:15 pm EST on NBC and Peacock
  • Californians, Chloe Kim and three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, compete in snowboard halfpipe qualifying event. Kim is the two-time reigning world champion in the women’s event as well as the defending Olympic gold medalist.
  • When: 8:30 pm EST and 11:30 pm EST on NBC and Peacock

Wednesday, February 9 (Day 5):

  • Chloe Kim looks to win gold in the women’s halfpipe final.
  • Nathan Chen, U.S.A., will look for a better showing in Beijing after finishing 5th in PyeongChang. He will be competing in the Men’s Free Skate.
  • When: 8:00 pm EST on NBC and Peacock

Thursday, February 10 (Day 6)

  • 35-year-old Shaun White looks to compete in the men’s halfpipe final. If he wins, he will become the first athlete at the Olympic Winter Games to win 4 gold medals in the same individual event. There are two other athletes competing in the Olympics that can accomplish that feat as well.
  • When: 8:30 pm EST on NBC and Peacock
  • Mikaela Shiffrin has an opportunity for another gold medal in the Women’s Super-G.
  • When: 10:00 pm EST on NBC and Peacock

Friday, February 11 (Day 7)
