The most prestigious tournament in tennis is here and the action at the All England Club is in full swing.

Most players grow up dreaming of winning Wimbledon, and although all four majors are worth equal amounts of prize points, in most people’s minds, Wimbledon is the most prestigious. With that in mind, we know that we will be getting the best effort from each and every player this fortnight.

Let’s take a look at the odds and find winning tennis picks at the top-rated sportsbooks.

Maria Sakkari vs. Anna Blinkova

Tuesday, July 01, 2025 – 09:20 AM EDT at The All England Lawn Tennis Club

Talent Intact, Confidence Missing

Two players who are struggling to find their form this season will take the court in an effort to use this tournament to turn their seasons around.

Maria Sakkari was once a Top 10 player, but she is currently ranked number 85. She definitely has the game to return to the top, yet she has struggled with staying healthy and her mental outlook towards the game. Regardless of our struggles this season, Sakkari still has an excellent amount of talent and is one of the best athletes in the WTA.

Maria Sakkari was most recently at Bad Homburg, where she lost to Ekaterina Alexandrova in the round of 16. Before that, she was able to defeat Yulia Putinseva. She failed to qualify for Berlin, and in the previous tournament on grass, S-Hertogenbosch, she was knocked out in the round of 16 against Elise Mertens. This is coming off the heels of a disastrous French Open, where she was eliminated in the first round. Sakkari had a dreadful clay swing where she was only able to make it out of the first round once.

Nothing Eye-Popping

Anna Blinkova does not come into the match with much better results.

Blinkova was able to make the quarterfinals of the Eastbourne tournament leading up to here. She reached the round of 16 in Nottingham and was eliminated in the second round of S-Hertogenbosch.

So while both players come into this match struggling, Blinkova has been playing a tad bit better. However, Maria Sakkari has a much higher ceiling. Sakkari has a 2-3 record on grass this year and Blinkova is much better at 4-3. These two players have never met and this will be the first time they face each other.

I like Maria Sakkari to bounce back here. Usually, I like to ride lesser-known players that are in better form; however, I’m not too impressed with Anna Blinkova’s form right now.

Although Sakkari has struggled, this tournament provides the perfect opportunity for turning things around, and I do believe that her style should match up well against Blinkova, as both players prefer a defensive, baseline-oriented game. In a matchup of similar styles, Sakkari is able to perform hers better. Our first bet for Wimbledon is Maria Sakkari moneyline.

Barbora Krejcikova vs. Alexandra Eala

Tuesday, July 01, 2025 – 01:30 AM EDT at The All England Lawn Tennis Club

From Qualies to Final

Barbora Krejcikova will protect her number 17 ranking against one of the up-and-coming players of the WTA tour, as Alexander Eala has burst onto the scene this season with plenty of impressive results.

Eala was able to make the finals at WTA Eastbourne, where she lost 12-10 in the final set tiebreaker. This was an impressive result for a tournament that she was forced to play qualifications for in order to be included in the main draw. Before that, she qualified for WTA Nottingham, but she fell short against Magda Linette in the first round. She also played a 125k in Birmingham, where she was able to make the quarterfinals before she fell to Rebecca Marino.

This style of play here at Wimbledon suits her game much more than the slow clay. Alexandra Eala plays very aggressively from the baseline, which will play better here on the quicker surface. She attacks with her forehand and uses her backhand as more of a defensive shot. Eala will often use the consistency of her backhand to set up a winner from the forehand side.

Rust Is a Risk

Barbora Krejcikova comes in rested after withdrawing from Eastbourne after making the quarterfinals. She obviously felt that she had enough warm-up for this tournament and withdrew in order to rest for this tournament. So, she does have a little bit of a rest advantage; however, against a young player playing well, I don’t know how much that will factor into today’s match.

Barbora Krejcikova is a much more defensive player than Eala, who will be the one dictating the points in this match. If Krejcikova is able to coax some errors, she can get the win here. However, I think this is a case of the wrong woman being favored.

Although Krejcikova has a higher ceiling, Eala is playing much better right now. We will go with the young player and better form for this matchup. Give me Alexandra Eala.
