Here are my top Olympic Hockey picks today:

Switzerland vs. FranceSwitzerland -3.5+1157/10
Czechia vs. CanadaCanada -2.5-1206/10
Germany vs. DenmarkOver 5.5+1107/10

Switzerland -3.5 (+115)

Switzerland vs. France – 6:10 AM ET

Switzerland comes into this matchup as heavy favorites over France. On the moneyline alone, they are -1200 betting odds and we are willing to lay their PK line at -3.5 for plus money.

Switzerland is on the rise, while their opponents, France, are one of the biggest outsiders to win Gold at this year’s Olympics. France didn’t even qualify for the Olympics and was only offered a place because of Russia’s absence.

France’s previous appearance in Men’s Ice Hockey was in 2002, and they come into today’s game with just one NHL player among their ranks

Switzerland has reached the finals in the previous two world championships and should be four goals better than France today, betable down to +100.

Canada -2.5 (-120)

Czechia vs. Canada – 10:40 AM ET

The pre-tournament favorites, Canada, look like a good bet to cover the -2.5 PK line today against Czechia. This should be a walk in the park for Canada, with seven top-25 ranked players in their ranks, compared to Czechia’s two.

Canada has won 5 of their previous 8 games by 4 or more goals, and with three of the NHL’s top four point scorers, we expect constant pressure on Czechia’s blue line

Although we expect Czechia to score some goals here, we can’t look past Canada’s strength in this opening game to cover the -2.5 line. We are predicting a 5-2 Canada victory. We like the -120 odds, but wouldn’t look to lay any more than -125.

Germany vs. Denmark Over 5.5 (+110)

Germany vs. Denmark – 3:10 PM ET

This should be an exciting matchup with plenty of NHL talent on show between neighbours Germany and Denmark. Leon Drasaitl leads the line for Germany, with Nikolaj Ehlers leading the line for Denmark.

We are all over this game’s total to go over its 5.5 line at plus money when these two teams meet. Denmark’s matches have seen 6+ goals in 8 of their previous 12 games, while Germany has allowed 5+ goals in half of their previous 8 games.

Both teams’ goaltenders are NHL stars but have been inconsistent lately, with Philipp Grubauer set to start for Germany and Frederick Anderson in the crease for Denmark.

Germany has much more firepower than Denmark, and we are predicting a 5-2 scoreline for Germany in this Olympic matchup. Take the generously low 5.5 line at plus money.
