For our MLB parlays today, let’s target both playoff games. The Mariners will look to go up 2-0 in the ALCS against Toronto. For the NLCS, the Dodgers and Brewers will play their first game tonight.

To attack both games, we’re going with a one-sided parlay and a totals parlay.
For the first parlay, I like the Blue Jays ML and Brewers +1.5 (if Quinn Priester starts). For the second parlay, I like the Mariners-Blue Jays over 8 and the Dodgers-Brewers under 7.5 (if Quinn Priester starts).

Don’t be misguided by recency bias.
It’s true that Toronto only scored one run in Game 1, but let’s not forget how effective the Blue Jays’ offense has been all year. Overall, Toronto has the third-highest-ranked offense. In their first series against the Yankees, the Blue Jays amassed 34 runs in four games.
Toronto’s offense has a great opportunity to get back on track against Seattle starter Logan Gilbert, against whom it has built a rock-solid track record.
Toronto’s lineup, collectively, bats .309 and slugs .543 against Gilbert. Conversely, Seattle’s offense has a negative outlook tonight because it has generally struggled. The Mariners have failed to exceed three runs in five of their six postseason games.
We have to take the extra run with Milwaukee if Quinn Priester is starting. This year, Quinn Priester threw six shutout innings in his game in Dodger Stadium. He struck out ten batters.
If Jose Quintana starts, however, we’ll want to replace the Brewers run-line with the Dodgers money-line because the Dodgers slug .439 against him and he’s been bad since the end of August.

Expect an offensive resurgence from a Toronto offense that is stacked with productive batters.
Against Seattle starter Logan Gilbert, five different Blue Jays batters slug over .440 in at least nine at-bats. Before last night’s game, Toronto had scored five runs or more in every postseason game.
Six runs is a reasonable ask for the Jays, especially since Seattle’s bullpen saw meaningful usage from its best relievers last night. Seattle will only need a couple of runs to send the game “over.”
The Dodgers start Blake Snell, against whom Milwaukee’s lineup bats .152 and slugs .212. He’ll have a long and successful outing tonight in what will be a close, low-scoring game if Quinn Priester starts for Milwaukee.
The Dodgers bat .150 and slug .200 against him. Both starters would thrive in this matchup. If Jose Quintana starts instead of Priester, though, then the Dodgers’ success against him will ensure an “over.”
Quintana has yielded an ERA of 6.75 or higher in three of his last four outings, has a poor track record against Dodgers batters, and the Dodgers have proven able to explode with big scoring outputs against weaker pitchers.

- Don’t repeat the same wager in different parlays
- Avoid placing too much emphasis on the most recent results.
