The All-Star slugger has become one of the most sought-after names on the market, making him a top target for bettors tracking the latest Kyle Tucker free agency odds.
The left-handed hitter has displayed remarkable consistency, putting up five straight seasons with a 4.0+ WAR and 130+ wRC+, along with 20+ home runs and 20+ stolen bases in three of those campaigns. His strong plate discipline, featuring walk rates above 10% and strikeout rates below 20%, makes him one of the most complete offensive players available this offseason.

There’s no shortage of interest in Kyle Tucker as he enters MLB free agency, but the list of realistic contenders for his next team is starting to take shape. According to MLB insider Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Yankees are currently viewed as the top candidates to sign Kyle Tucker this offseason. These three World Series contenders lead the early Kyle Tucker next team odds, each offering a potential fit for one of baseball’s most consistent all-around players.
Favorites to Sign Kyle Tucker
The Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Yankees all make strong cases as ideal fits for Kyle Tucker in MLB free agency. Each club has legitimate World Series aspirations and the financial flexibility to pursue a superstar-caliber player. With the talent and resources to compete for top-tier free agents, these teams remain the most logical favorites in the Kyle Tucker next team odds.
Blue Jays (+300)
The Blue Jays just suffered one of the most heartbreaking losses we’ve ever seen in a World Series. This team had its third championship in franchise history within its grasp, but it squandered the opportunity. However, this was a magical playoff run that ignited a fanbase, giving them the appetite to keep it rolling and run it back.
While the Blue Jays’ top priority is to re-sign infielder Bo Bichette, who is coming off a year where he led MLB in hits, there are a couple of scenarios that could play out here.
For one, Bichette could decide to sign elsewhere, perhaps to the Yankees, who have a clear need at shortstop with Anthony Volpe’s struggles at the plate. That would force the Jays to pivot to try to replace Bichette’s production with another elite bat in Tucker.
The other scenario is that the team simply decides to splurge in free agency this year, bringing back both Bichette while also signing Tucker. Toronto has a clear need in the outfield, as Nathan Lukes was a surprise contributor who profiles more as a bench bat. With rumblings that the Jays are favorites already making their rounds, it wouldn’t be shocking to see this outcome.
Remember, this team had been in contention to sign both Juan Soto and Shohei Ohtani, so don’t put it past them on Tucker.
Dodgers (+350)
Don’t expect the back-to-back defending World Series champions to slow down this offseason just because they’ve won a championship two years in a row. The Dodgers are constantly looking for ways to retool their roster and extend their window to contend for multiple championships.
When you look at this roster, you see a clear need in the outfield. Teoscar Hernandez is a liability defensively, and his bat is slowly declining. The Dodgers may want to bolster their group by bringing in an elite bat like Tucker. The former Cub is a natural replacement for Kiké Hernandez in left field. They can also shift Teo to left and put Tucker in right.
This team has freed up over $80 million in payroll with Clayton Kershaw, Kirby Yates, Michael Conforto, and Chris Taylor coming off the books. Expect the Dodgers to be in hot pursuit of Tucker, which is why they’re my MLB best bet to land the top hitter on the market.
Yankees (+500)
While the Yankees still had one of the best offenses in MLB last season, they fell short of expectations by losing to the Blue Jays in the ALDS. After losing Juan Soto last offseason, the Yankees are likely to be aggressive in free agency. Tucker makes a lot of sense in the outfield, especially since Jasson Dominguez is still unproven.
This left-handed slugger is a natural replacement for Cody Bellinger, who is also a free agent. However, the Yankees may opt to upgrade their infield and give Dominguez a chance at everyday at-bats. Perhaps they may even prefer to bring back Bellinger while targeting starting pitching or bullpen depth.
With that in mind, I don’t see Tucker landing in the Bronx. I’m more confident that they’ll target one of the top free agents from Japan, such as Munetaka Murikami or Tatsuya Imai.
Where Will Kyle Tucker Sign?
Despite the Blue Jays emerging as favorites to sign Tucker, I don’t see that happening. We’ve seen Toronto discussed as top candidates for superstars in the past, including Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto. They were even linked to Corbin Burnes and Roki Sasaki last year. But it didn’t happen.
It’s more likely that Tucker will sign with the Dodgers, since they have the financial flexibility, team need, and appealing landing spot for a veteran looking for another championship. It just makes too much sense for Tucker not to slot in that Dodgers outfield right now.
With that in mind, place your wager on Tucker to sign with the Dodgers at +350 odds at BetOnline.
