With both teams playing back-to-back, which team between the Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks can add another win to their tally? Let’s check out the NBA odds for this game!
Utah Jazz vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Sunday, October 31, 2021 – 07:00 PM EDT at Fiserv Forum
The Utah Jazz will play the second game of a back-to-back against the Milwaukee Bucks on the road. The Jazz took their first loss of the season against the Chicago Bulls last night and failed to score 100 points. Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks will also play their second game of a back-to-back.
Last night, the Bucks lost to the San Antonio Spurs, at home, 102-93 and also failed to score 100 points. The Jazz offense still ranks high on the offensive end. They’re scoring 112.4 points per 100 possessions with 30.8 percent offensive rebounds and a free throw rate of 20.5 that ranks fourth-best in the league.

Currently, Donovan Mitchell leads the Jazz with 22 points per game but is only shooting 37.6 percent from the field. However, his misses are being cleaned up by center Rudy Gobert who has averaged 18 rebounds per game with 4.4 on the offensive end. The Bucks have allowed 108.7 points per 100 possessions on the defensive end and while they’ve done a solid job on the defensive glass, it’s going to be hard to keep Gobert in check throughout the game on the glass.
The Jazz are also third in the NBA in points per 100 possessions on the defensive end, allowing 98.5 points per 100 possessions. They’re also limiting teams to 43.5 percent effective field goal percentage. Neither defense is going to force a whole lot of turnovers but the Jazz defense will force some really tough shots. Utah can be aggressive at times and while they played fantastic defense, they also send teams to the free-throw line at a high rate to start the season.
For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the team in all three major categories with 27.7 points per game along with 11.8 rebounds and six assists per game. However, the Bucks have been average on the offensive end and are not getting second chances on the glass. And that certainly will play a factor against the Jazz with Gobert manning the middle.
Prediction
With both teams playing a back-to-back, I’m expecting some sluggish performances on the offensive end. The Jazz have one of the best defenses in the NBA and are going up against a Bucks team that couldn’t score anywhere close to 100 against the Spurs last night.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee’s defense isn’t very good and below average at this very moment. The team is 3-3 and doesn’t look like the defending champions early.
For my NBA pick, I’ll roll with the Jazz on the moneyline in this one, on the road.
