NCAAF Prop Bets Week 8 At a Glance
For this week’s football player props, we wanted to get a pick on one of the hottest quarterbacks in college football (Ty Simpson) in one of Saturday’s biggest games. We also aren’t ignoring Friday’s clash between Louisville and Miami.
Louisville’s Miller Moss: Under 0.5 Passes Intercepted (+140)
Friday, October 17, 2025 – 07:00 PM EDT
The Louisville Cardinals are a 13.5-point road underdog against the No. 2 Miami Hurricanes.
It’s a tough matchup for quarterback Miller Moss, the USC transfer who has taken over for Tyler Shough in Louisville. On the season, he’s thrown 7 touchdowns to 4 interceptions.
He has been intercepted in consecutive games, but he is a 5th-year player with experience and playing in big stadiums in meaningful games. The player props for this game heavily favor him to get intercepted, something he did in 6-of-9 games last season.
But while the Hurricanes rank No. 9 in scoring defense, they don’t generate a ton of turnovers. In fact, of Miami’s 5 defensive interceptions, Bryce Fitzgerald has 3 of them. So, if the Cardinals can avoid him, they shouldn’t have to worry that much about other defenders stepping up for passes.
We’re going to go against the grain and trust Louisville to play a lower-scoring game where Moss protects the ball and finishes without any interceptions.
Alabama’s Ty Simpson: Over 298.5 Passing Yards (-110)
Saturday, October 18, 2025 – 07:30 PM EDT
It’s a marquee SEC game this weekend with Tennessee hosting the Crimson Tide.
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson has been playing great football for the Crimson Tide this season. He has 2,059 passing yards to go with 16 touchdown passes and only 1 interception.
His 8.9 yards per pass attempt is actually a modest average compared to some of the past Alabama offenses when it was the Nick Saban era, but he can make big plays down the field, and they rely heavily on his arm.
Simpson already has games at home this year with 340 and 382 yards through the air against Vanderbilt and Wisconsin in blowout wins against teams that only scored 14 points.
Tennessee should offer more of a shootout potential in this one as the Volunteers average a nation-high 48.2 points per game. However, their defense is poor, allowing 29.3 points per game (ranked 106th). Tennessee is giving up an average of 257.8 passing yards while holding the run to 3.3 yards per carry, which should only encourage Alabama more to throw the ball.
That’s why we’ll trust Simpson within this game’s player props to go over 298.5 yards on his way to another 300-yard game.
What We’ve Covered and Next Steps
Our top NCAAF picks Week 8 see Louisville quarterback Miller Moss not throwing any interceptions against Miami and Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson going over in passing yards against Tennessee in our most anticipated game on the schedule. Our favorite pick is Simpson.
