Table of Contents

The Week 6 college football slate has some excellent games for player props, including No. 16 Vanderbilt vs. No. 10 Alabama after their classic meeting in 2024. We also have a cunning plan for how to bet Texas’ Arch Manning in his 1st game against a good defense since the Ohio State loss.

After checking out the latest odds from top-rated sportsbooks, we have our top prop bets for a couple of quarterbacks in Week 6.

Diego Pavia Over 203.5 Passing Yards (-115) at Bovada

Vanderbilt vs. Alabama – Saturday, October 04, 2005 – 03:30 PM EDT

One of the 2024 season’s best games was when Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia led an upset win over Alabama in a 40-35 final. Pavia threw for 252 yards and 2 touchdowns in that game.

This season, Pavia is playing his best ball ever with 74.6% completions, 13 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, and he averages 9.6 yards per attempt. He threw for 321 yards and 5 touchdowns last week against Utah State, a week after he had 245 yards against Georgia State.

It’s going to be a bit different going to Alabama to take on the Crimson Tide, a defense that has yet to allow a 160-yard passer this season. But Pavia is playing great, and the Commodores are elite at running the ball to complement the passing game.

Alabama is a 10.5-point favorite and can obviously score points. Pavia may need to keep throwing to catch up all game long, so that also favors his passing yards to go over 203.5.

Arch Manning Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+130) at Bovada

Texas vs. Florida – Saturday, October 04, 2005 – 03:30 PM EDT

Remember when Arch Manning was the Heisman Trophy favorite before actually proving he could play at a high level? That was fun before it all came crashing down in a 14-7 loss at Ohio State in Week 1, where Manning struggled to get anything going until the 4th quarter.

Since then, we’ve seen Manning struggle against a weak UTEP defense, where he completed 11-of-25 passes for 114 yards. The reality is Manning faced a very tough Ohio State defense on the road. Since then, he’s played 3 bad defenses.

The Gators are a very solid unit that ranks 24th in points per game allowed. They have only allowed 2 passing touchdowns, holding Carson Beck (Miami) and Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) to 1 passing touchdown combined.

That’s why our favorite play for Arch is for him to score a rushing touchdown, something he’s done in 3 straight games as he has 5 rushing touchdowns on the season. He doesn’t seem to fully trust his arm yet, so let’s count on Texas to call his number again near the goal line.
