College Football Player Props for Week 3: Sept. 8-14

DJ Lagway Florida Gators
Table of Contents

This week features highly anticipated matchups, with Texas A&M playing Notre Dame, Florida facing LSU, and Georgia taking on Tennessee. These are the games that will capture the biggest viewing audiences.

In terms of finding the best college football player props for week 3, I favor the latter two games.

DJ Lagway: Under 208.5 Total Passing Yards (-115) at Bovada

Florida Gators vs. LSU Tigers

Florida’s 18-16 loss to South Florida encapsulates the decline that its offense has experienced under head coach Billy Napier. DJ Lagway contributes to the difficulty that Florida is having with scoring points against ranked opponents.

Lagway’s low completion percentage last year was concerning. While his completion percentage is higher now, the video footage and reports of him playing create even greater concern. He lacks comfort in the pocket and misses open throws.

He does not have what it takes to succeed against what is now a highly-ranked defense, which ranks eleventh in points allowed and is holding opponents to 163 passing yards per game.

LSU used the offseason to create a strong secondary whose coverage abilities will be too much for Lagway to handle. Lagway commonly attempted around 20 passes per game last year and needed 33 attempts against South Florida’s lesser defense just to get to 222 yards.

Gunner Stockton: Under 227.5 Total Passing Yards (-115) at Bovada

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Tennessee Volunteers
Saturday, September 13, 2025 – 03:30 PM EDT

Oddsmakers are way off with this yardage total.

Georgia’s quarterback reached 227 passing yards in one game, which came against an App State team that barely beat a school called Lindenwood. In Stockton’s other game, he threw for 190 yards against Marshall.

Now he has to face his first SEC opponent in a road environment.

Being in this tough situation can’t help him overcome an ongoing tendency of his that is limiting his potential to gain more passing yards. This tendency is his conservativeness. He is checking down instead of attempting longer passes.

He himself said that he needs to gain more confidence. Tennessee’s venue is not the place for him to build confidence. I still expect a tight affair, but it will be one in which Georgia features its rush attack.
