NCAAF Prop Bets Week 10 At-a-Glance

For this week’s football player props, we are looking at Bill Belichick’s quarterback in North Carolina, Gio Lopez, going over his passing yards this Friday night, as well as the key player for Penn State we like in the big matchup with top-ranked Ohio State.

North Carolina’s Gio Lopez (Over 191.5 Passing Yards -115) at Bovada

North Carolina Tar Heels vs. Syracuse Orange – Friday, October 31, 07:30 PM EDT

People have been fair to grill Bill Belichick for his job in North Carolina this year. But quarterback Gio Lopez has had the team close in consecutive losses to California (21-18) and Virginia (17-16 in overtime). Lopez passed for a season-high 208 yards last week.

Gio Lopez’ matchup this week is a juicy one as the Syracuse Orange rank No. 116 in scoring defense. Specifically, the pass defense allows 273.9 yards per game, a high number. They also don’t force a ton of turnovers. Syracuse has lost 4 games in a row and gave up 304 passing yards to Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King last week, which was easily his season high.

With a bad Syracuse pass defense and another game the Tar Heels will likely trail in late, you could see Lopez pass for 200 yards again to hit the over for this player prop.

Penn State’s Kaytron Allen (Parlay: Over 40 Rushing Yards & Anytime Touchdown Scorer +280) at BetOnline

Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Ohio State Buckeyes – Saturday, November 1, 12:00 PM EST

Our favorite player prop for this game is a 2-leg parlay you can build at BetOnline (or elsewhere) on Penn State running back Kaytron Allen, who must carry the load for the offense without quarterback Drew Allar. We like Allen to do what he’s done in all 7 games this season by rushing for at least 40 yards and scoring a touchdown for Penn State.

It’s going to be a tough task for Allen as the Buckeyes have the No. 1 scoring defense in the nation, allowing 5.9 points per game, with Illinois the only team to break 10 points on them. They’ve also held runners to 2.8 yards per carry.

Penn State scored a season-low 13 points against the Buckeyes last year, with Allen rushing for 27 yards. But things are different without Allar, and they’ll have to build the offense around Allen, who just had 145 yards and 2 touchdowns against an equally tough Iowa run defense last week. That was with new quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer throwing for 93 yards, too.

It won’t be pretty, but Penn State won’t get shut out, and Allen will be the reason they get in the end zone here. The value is too good to pass up here.
