Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith Over 76.5 Receiving Yards (-117)

We’re looking at the best wideout for Ohio State in star Jeremiah Smith going over 76.5 yards against a Miami defense from the ACC that just hasn’t faced a football factory that produces NFL wideouts like the Buckeyes have.
Smith has numbers on par, if not better, than his 16-game pace from last season with 1,086 yards on 80 catches and 11 touchdowns in 12 games this year. He’s gone over 76.5 yards in 7-of-12 games this year, including 144 yards in the lone loss to Indiana in the Big Ten Championship Game.
Smith can attack from anywhere on the field, and the Hurricanes just lack the corner to shut him down. Smith is usually prolific in big games too with 103, 187, and 88 yards in 3-of-4 playoff wins last season on the way to a national championship. We expect quarterback Julian Sayin to get the ball often to his top receiver, so the over on Smith is our top pick.
Oregon’s Dante Moore Over 0.5 Passes Intercepted (-115) at Bovada
Oregon Ducks vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders
We have seen Oregon quarterback Dante Moore lead an efficient, explosive, and balanced attack for the Ducks all season. They dropped 51 points in the first round against outmatched James Madison, but even in that game, Moore tossed 2 interceptions. He’s only thrown 8 interceptions, but his rate (2.4%) is nothing great, and he’s been picked in six different games.
But Texas Tech’s defense is built on takeaways, and no one does a better job of creating more this year. Half of them are interceptions, and we’ve seen them intercept BYU multiple times in the last month of the season in big games.
The other factor to consider is this is an unfamiliar opponent for Oregon, who will travel from the Pacific Northwest to Miami for a noon game on New Year’s Day. That’s an early body clock game, so the Ducks may not be sharp and could have some turnover issues against a chaotic defense. That’s why we like the Red Raiders to intercept Moore at least once.
