With so many headlines in the NFL right now, lines are moving at a crazy rate at the best online sportsbooks. There are injuries that we’re waiting on and star players being traded, like Odell Beckham Jr. going to the Los Angeles Rams. It’s chaos in the NFL but that’s why we love it. Here are some of the biggest line movers at the NFL odds in this week’s slate.
Green Bay Packers -3 (-110)
Opened -5 (-110)
Currently -3 (-110)
The Packers opened at -5 but bettors aren’t so sure that Aaron Rodgers with 1) play or 2) look good in his return. The last time Rodgers was rusty, he laid an egg with the rest of the roster, with a bad loss to the Saints on opening day.
Rodgers has also had to face the media for making some comments about the pandemic that didn’t really sit well with the public. We’ll see if that’s a distraction to the Packers moving forward. On the other hand, the Seahawks will have Russell Wilson back in action and that’s really more reason why the line has shifted down. Wilson has been one of the few bright spots for the Seahawks this season but was sidelined due to injury for a month or so.
Having Wilson back should help the offense get going again but the Seahawks’ defense has been miserable. This will be a fun game between two quarterbacks that might be a bit rusty. It’s a game that will be hard to handicap for sure.
Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks Total 48.5 (-110)
Opened 51 (-110)
Currently 48.5 (-110)
Despite Rodgers and Wilson likely getting the start at quarterback in this game, the total has shifted down by a field goal. Again, both of these quarterbacks might be rusty, but you’d think the public is going to be heavy on the over knowing it’s Russell Wilson against Aaron Rodgers.
The public is doing their part for the over but the sharp bettors are all over the under. This is going to be interesting on how it all plays out. If both of these quarterbacks were playing last week and feeling good, with momentum, everyone would be on the over.
How do you not take an over between those two offenses when healthy against those two terrible defenses?

L.A. Rams -3.5 (-110)
Opened +3.5 (-110)
Currently -3.5 (-110)
The Rams opened as a three-point underdog against the San Francisco 49ers earlier this year. Because it’s a Monday Night Football game, the lines for this game were released way sooner than others. The expectation was that the 49ers would be better than the Rams this year.
However, the Rams have added Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. along with Matthew Stafford earlier in the offseason. They’re loaded with talent that includes Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, Cooper Kupp, and Robert Woods. I can just name the roster all day, but I won’t.
The Rams, however, did lose their last primetime game last week against the Titans. So there’s some reason to stay away from this game. However, on paper, the Rams do look like the better team. As short favorites, it certainly seems like a lock, but after watching the Ravens lose to the Dolphins, we all know there’s no such thing as a lock.
