Biggest Line Movers of College Football Week 13

Table of Contents

We’ve got this final week before playoff football. Many teams are looking to get their sixth win of the season while others are looking for a chance at playing in bigger and better bowl games. Some teams even have the potential of playing in a conference championship game with a win this week.

Here are some of the most interesting line movements of the week in college football for Week 13.

Washington State Cougars -13 (-110)

  • Opened -13 (-110)
  • Currently -1 (-110)

Would you believe me if I told you Washington State was a -13 at open? Despite Washington State being able to play in a bowl game with six wins, they have a chance at bigger and better things now. Washington State literally has a chance at winning the Pac-12 North Division going into the Apple Cup game against Washington.

However, the Cougars have lost seven straight games to Washington and the sharps believe what’s in store for them again. To win the Pac-12 North, Washington State will need to win this game and will hope that Oregon State could beat Oregon. Then Washington State would take on Utah in the Pac-12 championship. Interesting stuff. Let’s see how it plays out!

Ohio State Buckeyes  -10.5 (-110)

  • Opened -10.5 (-110)
  • Currently -8.5 (-110)

The Ohio State Buckeyes have looked incredible since taking a loss to Oregon earlier in the season. The Buckeyes just knocked off Purdue and Michigan State by scoring a combined 115 points in those two games. Meanwhile, the Buckeyes allowed just 38 points combined in that game. Purdue knocked off two top-five teams this season and Michigan State was a potential College Football Playoff contender not too long ago.

So, the oddsmakers opened this line at -10.5 for Ohio State but with the Buckeyes on the road, sharps were skeptical. There was a ton of value on Michigan at +10.5. The Wolverines are 10-1 on the season and with a win over Ohio State would play in the Big Ten Championship game and have a chance to make the College Football Playoff.

Florida State Seminoles  +3 (-110)

Opened -17 (-110)
Currently +3 (-110)

It hasn’t been the best college football season for teams in Florida. The Gators fired head coach Dan Mullen while Florida State struggled earlier in the season and couldn’t even beat Jacksonville State. And don’t even get me started with Miami. So yeah, that’s Florida football right now.

The Gators look like they don’t even want to be playing anymore while the Seminoles look so much better in the second half with Mike Norvell as head coach. Because Florida is home, they’re getting the edge, but at the end of the day, Florida State is clearly the better team. Whoever wins this game will make a bowl game, if they choose to play in one. Personally, I think it’ll be Florida State.

Florida was great in the first half but the locker room was lost in the second half. The exact opposite happened with Florida State as they look to build a contender in the ACC in the next couple of seasons.
