2025-26 College Football Big 12 Championship Odds & Picks

Devon Dampier Cal Poly v Utah

The Big 12 is a Power 5 conference that often gets overlooked due to the powerhouse SEC and Big Ten; however, it is still a breeding ground for elite FCS squads, and right now, the oddsmakers are making the Utah Utes the pick of the litter at odds of +350 to win the conference.

Below, we are going to reveal the Big 12 Championship odds and focus on the three teams that are likely to contend for the crown.

2025 Big 12 Winner Odds

Big 12 Teams to Watch

Utah (+350)

The Utes traveled to UCLA to take on the Bruins and carpet-bombed the Rose Bowl as Utah quarterback and Heisman contender Devon Dampier was electric in the winning effort, going 21-of-25 through the air for 206 yards and a pair of TD strikes, resulting in a lopsided 43-10 victory as 7-point road chalk.

Next on their schedule was a cupcake, FCS entry Cal Poly, and the Utes refused to take their foot off the gas in a 63-9 blowout, covering as 43-point home favorites. Dampier was once again spot on, completing 17 of 23 for 192 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions.

As I look ahead, I see no roadblocks on the Utes’ regular-season schedule. Texas A&M, currently ranked 21st in the nation, might be Utah’s only stumbling block, and that showdown comes on September 20th in front of a partisan crowd at Salt Lake. Iowa State is the only team in the conference ranked above them at No. 14, but they will not meet the Cyclones until the conference championship game, should that happen.

Iowa State (+750)

Speaking of Iowa State, they are the oddsmakers’ fifth choice at +750 to win the conference at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review), which I find a bit tempting. They opened as 3-point road underdogs to Kansas State and came away with a 24-21 victory, cashing both on the point spread and moneyline at +130.

Next, the Cyclones faced an FCS opponent in South Dakota and blew them away to the tune of a 55-7 whitewash and easily covered as 16-point home chalk. Junior quarterback Rocco Becht was nothing short of surgical in that game, going 19-of-20 for 278 yards and three aerial touchdowns.

But the competition ratcheted up a few notches the following week when the Cyclones faced their intrastate rivals, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and claimed a hard-fought 16-13 win, pushing as 3-point home chalk.

Like Utah, Iowa State has no ranked opponents left on its schedule after dispatching then No. 17 Kansas State in the opener. However, a game against TCU near the end of the regular season could upset the apple cart, but keep your eyes peeled on the Cyclones this season.

TCU (+650)

In case you didn’t already know it, the Horned Frogs are only three seasons removed from their national title run, which came to a crashing end via a 65-7 blowout to the mighty Georgia Bulldogs in the 2022 national championship game.

And in college sports, that might as well be forever ago, but they are coming off a 9-4 season and notched a 34-3 victory over Louisiana in the New Mexico Bowl last year. TCU got its bye early, but not before embarrassing Bill Belichick and his North Carolina Tar Heels, 48-14, and easily covering as 3 ½ point road favorites.

Although we have only that small sample to reflect upon, we should note that quarterback Josh Hoover threw for 284 yards against the defensive genius that is Bill Belichick, and the TCU ground game chewed up 284 yards.

Are the odds a bit low at +650 on the Frogs? Perhaps, but they might be even lower once they destroy FCS entry, Abilene Christian, on September 13th.

How to Place a Bet or Open a Sportsbook Account

The Big 12 Championship odds I posted today and my Big 12 best bets to win the conference, like Utah, Iowa State, and TCU, with their corresponding odds, don’t stay stagnant forever. Moneylines, point spreads, totals, and yes, conference odds are dynamic, which means the lines you see here may not be around by gametime.

This means it is important that you get the sharpest line available, and the only way to do that is to get down immediately on the games and make sure you have an active account.

That’s right, make certain your account is funded, and perhaps get accounts at two or more sportsbooks so you can compare the numbers. Make sure to get down at a place you trust and at the best lines or odds available.
