Tickers to the Super Bowl were expensive due in part to the fact that there weren't many of them.
Via Ben Fischer of Sports Business Journal, Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas has resulted in the lowest announced attendance for any non-pandemic Super Bowl.
Officially, 61,629 are here for the game.

The next smallest crowd was at the L.A. Coliseum for the first Super Bowl, with 61,946. Third on the list is Super Bowl LIV in Miami, at 62,417.
The Super Bowl XXVI crowd at the Metrodome in Minneapolis had 63,130. Super Bowl XXXVII in San Diego drew 67,603.
That surely won't keep the Super Bowl from returning to Las Vegas. But why didn't they build a stadium that could hold more people for the biggest game of the year?

By the vast number of people out here I don't know how much of that I believe. It was a madhouse
Weren't tickets going for 7k+ for nosebleeds?

Yeah this is strange. Maybe a function of the venue size.

Allegiant is said to have a 65,000 capacity.

Tickets would not have been expensive if they weren’t selling, so maybe it was sold out.

And that’s all they could hold.

I’m pretty sure the demand was still there for a few seats they had in the venue.

I checked ticket prices on StubHub an hour or less before the game (sometimes I get inexpensive concert or Spurs tickets this way as supply outweighs demand the closer you get to game time) and it was still $6,500 for the cheapest seats in places I wouldn’t even sit - 4th level end zone. After you pay the juice easily more than 8k.

Lame

super bowl 45 had over 100k

At&t stadium seats 85,000 and up to 105,000 with standing room.

15k people standing for the superbowl, lol.

Now that's lame.

Rose Bowl Superbowl also over 100k.

Allegiant only holds 65k

If they would have built it, they would have come.
