Sportbet is no more!

Received this email a few days ago:

Important day for Sportbet Players
Sportbet, as a subsidiary brand of the 5Dimes group of companies, is currently working with the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) in order to achieve the licensure status as its sister brand, 5Dimes. In the meantime, starting today, Wednesday February 2nd, 2022, we will require all Sportbet customers to access their account through the regulated 5Dimes website in order to ensure compliance with the GSC.

Having said that, we kindly request for you to click here and login into your account with your Sportbet credentials to proceed with the review and acceptance of the new terms and conditions.

I logged into 5dimes and my account was suspended. Sent email to Sportbet and it bounced back.

Went on 5dimes chat and they want me to send in KYC docs.

So I asked: OK, so Sportbet basically no longer exists?

Reply: Correct, all SB account have been migrated to the 5DEurope one. They were sister sites either way, but now have merged onto one site.

Vietbet is another sister site and looks to still be running, have you tried logging in there?

Could have sworn I put it in the 'sportbook discussion' forum.

Not that I care really. But it seems to fit that forum.

It's a fact, the book is gone. If you try to go to Sportbet, the site redirects you to 5dimes. If you send Sportbet an email, it bounces back.

Did BMR move the thread because they still have affiliate links up? lol

Sportbet was more than just a sister site to 5Dimes. They were essentially the same site and same database which you could access via two different URLs having different logos and color schemes.

Everything about them was the same. Including your login.

So it seems all they're doing is shutting down access to Sportbet so they can spin it up as a truly separate website later. You could always log into 5Dimes with your Sportbet login last year, and you still can today.
