It's easy to say they should've traded him but most teams know their best shot at getting Ohtani is this off season especially since they wouldn't have to give up elite prospects plus major league ready players to get him. The Angels have been a train wreck the past 2 decades and badly need to start over.
That’s why I’ve argued since last offseason (posted several threads here) Angels should have traded him for a boatload of prospects. Now they’ll get nothing for him.

The one saving grace is this injury may lower his value in the open market since he likely won’t be able to pitch next season. Angels might be able to resign him at a lower rate but I’d bet he goes elsewhere and they get nothing and like it

right but would be shocking if he goes to a state with a low population of Asians

so i am guessing CA or NY where there are tons of Asians.

would be shocked if he went to a red state

He plans to travel with the team and still hit in the lineup despite the tear
Yup. One of the reasons why I think it's a minor tear.
