One interesting side note I thought I read was that Cup regulars can only race Cup this weekend.

Same with Oreillys regulars only racing Oreillys.

Meaning SVG and/or Zilisch won’t be able to drop down to the O’Reilly’s race where they would both be heavily favored.

And Heim can’t drop down to trucks where he’d be a big fave.

Only one I see entered in two of the races this weekend is Austin Hill.

And I’m thinking an exception was made for Hill, an Oreillys regular, who is filling in for Kyle Busch as his replacement for the RCR team in Cup.

Side note:

Jimmie Johnson will race in the TRICON #1 truck Heim has already won in three times this season.

The reality of it though with Jimmie will likely be more like Willie Mays playing center field for the Mets his last couple of seasons.

The once great champion…

So he'll have great equipment.... and the performance will be strictly based on how good the driver does. Lets see how the 50 yo does....

For the first time ever Nascar heads to an active military base - Naval Base Coronado in San Diego.

This temporarily-built street course will be the longest track in NASCAR history. 3.4 miles, 16-turns, with a distinct military and naval-aviation themed layout. Active aircraft carriers will even be in the background.

All three series in action: Trucks 7 pm ET Friday, O’Reilly’s 5 pm ET Saturday and Cup 4 pm ET Sunday.
Sounds very cool!
