I'd be shocked if everyoone's information hasn't been stolen several times over.
I've received so many notices from different companies about the loss of my data (Home Depot, my former employer, my former health insurance company, etc...) and most recently Ticket Master.

I've had a "Freeze" on my credit for over a decade. I suggest everyone do the same. The only issue you have with a Freeze is that you have to unfreeze your info when you want some type of load or new credit card. Its not hard to do.

In a way, this could be a good thing. It will require more steps to do anything with your SS number such as getting credit, etc. These extra steps may seem to be a bit of a pain but they make for a much more secure experience and helps prevent fraud if someone tries to use your SS number.
