Never seen a race & odds like this flip back & forth so much

Going into last couple of games knueppel was heavy Fave

Then he stunk it up last game & Flagg was suddenly the leader

But cooper got hurt in final game & odds flipped again Live and Kon was the big favorite after regular season finale

Awards ballots were supposed to have been submitted

But Luka challenged the league on his status so it held up the voting process

That meant everyone would get to see knueppel perform against Miami in the Play-In game

Although that matchup should have been meaningless & never have been seen, how do voters unsee & not get swayed by Kon’s horrible performance & even getting benched end of game??

That totally flip-flopped the odds yet again even though that game shouldn’t have ever mattered….

It was the worst case scenario for knueppel…

Heritage

Rookie of the Year

Cooper Flagg-176
Kon Knueppel+134
Would have been a great chance to middle this and make guaranteed profit.

Kendrick Perkins has tweeted hunting as if he’s changed his mind to Cooper Flagg after that play in game

However, I don’t think he will because voters are not supposed to let that game sway their opinion

Ballots are due today

Craziest ROY race ever

It appeared as if voters favored Kon Knueppel heading into ballots being sent in, but then the delay came because Of Luka's challenge, so everyone got to see Kon stink it up in the In-play game, and despite the NBA's rules stating that should not have any bearing on decisions, several voters have come out & openly admitted they changed their vote from Kon to Coop at the last minute, because of that game

If you are the NBA you have to pull the voting privileges of those ballot holders from here on out

Harper and Bailey stand out — both should get real minutes and have the kind of usage that voters like. Opportunity matters a lot for ROY.
Edgecombe could be interesting too if he lands in the right situation and gets touches early.
A lot will come down to role and team context, not just talent

About as close as these things get.
I actually thought it would be closer

Which it would have been, if they hadn’t delayed the ballots and voters witnessed that horrible last game by Knueppel

I think Flagg definitely deserved it but Kon was probably the winner before voters admittedly changed their mind after that game which wasn’t supposed to sway them

Wonder if Kon would have won if he’d have had a huge final few games?
