He’s right and he’s wrong

Obviously Lebron is higher than 9th

But he’s definitely not 1st

Jordan is Tier 1A all by himself

Lebron, Bird, Wilt, Shaq, and all others who fit the category, are Tier A

As for the statement about playing longer, he’s right as some of those other players and more could hold the scoring record if they too played 40 years in a defenseless league like LeBron lol
Magic had to quit playing obv and so did Larry due to having to have his spine aligned each game so I agree with you

You make some valid points, look I’m no NBA expert these days lol, I haven’t placed one wager in the NBA this year and probably only a handful of games last year so needless to say I don’t really watch/follow this product.

So the debate on if these players actually play any defense like Stormy suggested could hold merit. I will say since the Allstar break it seems like these games are going under quite frequently and teams are playing more defense.

I don’t think anyone is an NBA expert these days lol

At least not when it comes to capping the games

As for the defense or lack of, the scores compared to that of the past tell the tale.
As does the tape

Scores may be down a little because they were catching a beating on social media after all star game

But we know it won’t last because just like with everything else these days it’s all about me me me, and seeing who can outscore each other

Jordan's the best.

You really took some pounding day in and day out in that era .

LeBron has done well and is physically explosive ,but no one beats MJ in his success where it really matters

6-0 in NBA finals

The best stylistically, and no one can match the tenacity that Jordan naturally possessed game in and game out like Jordan , except maybe Mamba

That’s mostly subjective though as far as play style.

6-0 is obviously great but MJ overall had weaker much weaker finals opponents and played in fewer finals altogether

Kobe is just an off brand version of MJ. Belongs nowhere near the discussion. Not even a top 10 guy

One thing I will say about Indiana, there’s a basketball goal every house or two and in the country we put em on the side of a barn

Then you have the church you can go play at or lots of places

Gonna try and find a pic of my court at my aunts

I always find this debate fun & fascinating

MJ was averaging 35-37 pts per game in a defensive-oriented, low-scoring era, despite while being double-teamed on most nights

Iit is with without question…. And I repeat without question, Jordan would at he 45-50 today

Lebron is a better all-around player than some of the other Superstars

But that doesn’t make him the best

e.g. Russell Westbrook averaging a triple-double two consecutive seasons

Mentioning ‘Superstars’, the league used to be full of them

I stress the word SUPERstar, because it’s a big difference than ‘Star’

Michael Jordan had to go thru Olajuwon, Shaq, Bird, Barkley, Magic, Malone, The Admiral, Ewing, Drexler, Miller, Kemp and others

Today there is who?
Giannis, Steph, Anthony Davis, And Lebron himself?
That’s about it

I would also argue that Dwayne Wade, Kyrie Irving. and Davis were much more influential in assisting Lebron’s championship runs than any other Superstars’ titles ever

I agree MJ would be able to score quite a bit in this era, but also:

MJ was scoring more in the 80s -- at the beginning of his career. The 80s were a very high scoring era of the NBA.

His averages came down in the 90s when they started winning and got Scottie -- though defense was stronger then

MJ got the tail end of some of those guys, but I would say overall the talent is better today -- at least offensively

No one really wins championships by themselves. MJ never won a playoff series without Scottie. LeBron was the far and away best player in all the championships he's won. Kyrie and AD were very pivotal, Wade was less so

Hell LeBron was the best player even in all those Golden State losses -- he just went against a super team (that was assembled to stop LeBron)
