Maalik Murphy will not be available against Washington if needed. Arch Manning the true freshman becomes next in line. Hopefully not an issue for Texas. Also TX coach Sarkisian gave him the option to stay thru the playoffs, but he declined.

There's always a hidden reason. Do you think this has something to do with Manning? Him and Manning competing for the 2nd spot?

It’s getting real crowded at qb for Texas. Biggest reason is starter Ewers, who everyone had leaving for the NFL, is now coming back for one more year.

Plus Manning is there and they have one of the top quarterbacks in the county coming in with the 2025 class, KJ Lacey.

Also when he got to play he seemed in over his head at times. Probably a good move but he’d definitely have been a good backup to have in the playoffs just in case.

Did not know this. Wow.
No wonder Murphy is bailing. Lacey may be right behind him. Not sure Manning will beat out Ewers next year and I can't see Manning staying on the bench as a Junior so Lacey is odd man out.

Is Manning good? I know he is still very young and still has a lot of room for improvement, but I can't get rid of the fact that he is privileged to have that family name.
Guy looked like a good dual-threat QB in the hi-school clips.

He looks a bit thin to me. Has to grow into his body. Just my two cents.

Yes. Heck of a last-name to live up to.

Lots of other teams are going to be very interested in him.
