The White Sox send Michael Kopech out for his third start of the season after giving up just one in his first two starts and has been one of the best pitchers in terms of strikeout rate in the league, getting 12.2 strikeouts per nine innings —— where he’s taking on a Twins offense that’s been STRUGGLING.

The Twins lineup is hitting .202, which is second-worst in the American League, and have been dealing with an injury to the leader in home runs Byron Buxton the past week. It’s still early, but things haven’t exactly started the way you’d hope if you live in the Twin Cities.

On the mound to start for the Twins is Baily Ober, who really struggled giving up the long all last year, allowing 1.8 dingers per 9 —- and I’m thinking we see the WhiteSox line-up in a positive regression spot. They’ve been barrelling the ball into some outs —- and have been moderately unlucky at the plate so far this season. And if Ober does manage to go out there and shove; The Twins enter this series with the worst bullpen ERA in the American League at 4.85.

The Twins have scored three runs or fewer in five of their last six games and the White Sox pitching staff will shut them down to take Friday’s series opener.
