Coinbase Account Delay

So I just moved to Florida and had to cash out of all of my US based accounts. Today I transferred cash from my bank to Coinbase figuring I could then buy bitcoin and then fund an account at BOL. Except I got this message....

Ready to withdraw or send funds? Your funds will be available to withdraw or send on Jul 20, 2022. This temporary delay is part of our security practices to prevent fraud and keep your account safe.

Is this typical?

Wow 2 weeks... Was it electronic or with a debit/credit card?? I know to purchase with a bank it takes a few days but debit is automatic for a fee. Sucks if you spent the fee and getting the delayed hold

Electronic....the deposit from my bank was instant with no fee. Coinbase says I am ok to buy and sell crypto, but just can't withdraw or send.

Yes. they always make you wait for it to clear but that is usually 5 days i thought and not 2 weeks. ugggh

Maybe I missed it but had you already sent in your driver’s license, ss# and a selfie pic? Years agoI had a similar experience there and as soon as I verified the account the funds were available

I did resend them all of those items and I have had an account for many years at Coinbase. I can live with the delay, but I was ready to fire on some NCAAF season long win totals that I hope don't get away from me.

They only want buy/sell accounts. Fees on those transactions are keeping them in operation. They have 15billion float, my guess is that barely covers account holders balances. Move all crypto to cold wallet
